DEAR MISS LEMONAID:
OK, SO MY EX BOYFRIEND BROKE UP WITH ME ON MY BIRTHDAY AND THEN ASKED OUT MY BEST FRIEND AND SHE SAID YES! WE ARE NOT FRIENDS ANYMORE AND TODAY SHE APOLOGIZED TO ME AND I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO. PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE.

Dear confused,
Wow! I am sad for you that you had two bad seeds in your life. If it were me, I would run for the hills. Forget the boyfriend because guys can be horrible, it is the friend that is more concerning to me. What kind of friend takes on with another’s ex and expects that it will be okay. That so called friend is missing a moral chip. Worse, if she betrayed you once, I assure you she will do it again. Trust is like a piece of paper. Once it is ripped or torn, it will never be the same again. No matter if it is glued or taped, the schism of distrust will always remain. Trust me, life will have other bumps in the road and you will be better off to surround yourself with friends who you can count on.

Your boyfriend breaks up with you on your birthday and your best friend agrees to go out with him the same day? Was it the unluckiest day of your life or have you stopped to ask yourself if you’re making good choices when picking friends and lovers? Was he a wonderful boyfriend up until your birthday? Was your best friend the most loyal and greatest friend ever up until that day? Perhaps you’re deliberately overlooking people’s faults to avoid being alone. Think about it.
