My choice of hair color has forced me to attend many funerals for broken and fried hair. Alas, I have tried every product on the market that promises to revive dead hair. 9 times out of 10, the products have failed miserably in sprucing up my lid. However, I thought there were a few products worth commenting on or highlighting (Ha!) Nearly two years ago, Moroccan Oil hit the market. We all rushed out like wild animals to purchase the new “it” product. The smell was delicious but the side effect of altering your hair color to an unwanted gold hue averted the consumers from returning for round 2. Did you read what I just wrote? I only recently learned about Moroccan Oil’s color altering abilities when a friend noticed mismatched color at the base of my head. Later days, Moroccan Oil! Then, Shu Uemura upped the ante with a wonderful oil which does not leave any residue AND succeeds in treating the hair. My parched hair soaks up that oil like camels in a desert. However, Shu Uemura is not a drugstore brand and is not purse friendly. So I kept searching until a funky green aerosol can sitting in a shelf at the local Ralph’s Market caught my eye. OLIVE OIL Nourishing Sheen Spray did as it promised. I was able to use an organic and affordable product to provide a natural, healthy sheen to my dry, and thirsy hair. To be more blunt, I was able to use olive oil to spray down those brittle, broken fuckers and pretend my hair was healthy. Have any of my sippers ever tried any of these oils?
Nikki! So I use the oil that is made by this brand. And let me tell you, it has changed my life, lol… The oil says to put a little on your DRY hair BEFORE you flat iron, which I’d never heard of using oil, maybe a spray, but not a oil, and let me tell you, I get silky salon-worthy strands every time. My hair used to look a little like straw when I flat ironed, no matter how expensive the flat iron was. But with the oil, my strands come out so lovely! If you like the spray, the oil may work for you too! I know you get your hair blown out by a pro (I used to also, but not anymore!), but this oil has made it so I can do my hair myself and I actually like the results better than if a pro had done it. I curl the ends under and everything, it always looks great. I know how you are about your hair, this oil may change your life too. Just wanted to share, if you try it, use a little bit of oil on each section, the size of a pea. Then run your flat iron down your hair. Try it one day when you can chance it and don’t have a lot going on. Hope it works for you too!
