THE DEFINITION OF BOREDOM

Lately, I have heard so many people complaining of boredom.  It particularly bugs me when my kids complain about being bored.  I love to remind them that only boring people get bored.  However, my brilliant Mother-in-Law reminds me to look at things differently.  Last week, she and I were having a conversation about failure and disappointment.  I was feeling uninspired and bored in my own life (must have been PMS.)  She patiently listened to my complaints and feelings with a poker face.  My Mother-in-Law has the remarkable ability of not sugar coating  reality.  For example, the other day I had done a TV spot.  She called to congratulate me but then proceeded to add that I looked terrible.  When I asked her advice about feeling bored, she explained to me that boredom is anger without energy.  I was stunned and am still mulling it over.  What are your thoughts about boredom in life?
