I am not suggesting that any of you need make-up lessons. Instead, I am merely repeating something my husband points out to me daily. How odd that a man would even notice something like that. Luckily, I have a strong sense of self. I am fair skinned with a pink undertone. Think feet like salmon filets. I spend lots of time researching and experimenting with foundations, bronzers, and blushes yet he is never happy. He complains that my face always looks ruddy and pale. Freak! Why did you marry me then? Luckily, I actually love sitting at my vanity applying make-up. Rarely do I feel that I do nothing short of a bang-up job. He must be wrong. The other day, I paid a visit to Sephora to purchase a new bottle of St Tropez bronzing mousse (pink people like me have to apply self tan year round- especially when married to Bozo.) As I was walking out, I noticed a new display of what promised to be a transforming foundation. So I tried it! So I bought it in hopes of pleasing Husband and avoiding make-up school. Hours later, I went to see my Dermatologist. As I walked in, the office manager would not stop staring at me. You look so rested, she exclaimed, so relaxed. What’s different? I said nothing. Then out of the clear blue sky, she asked me If I had changed foundation? I could not believe it. She said Thank G-d! Your other make-up used to make you look ghost pale and tired! I could not believe it, Husband had been right (AGAIN!) He arrives home tonight from a business trip. I can’t wait to see if he notices.
