In my fantasy life, I’ve spent the past month traipsing around the globe with one event on my mind: Fashion Week. I’ve sat front row in every show-from Balenciaga to Alexander Wang, looking impossibly chic every day. My private jet takes me from Milan to New York to London and finally, to Paris. Obviously, this is just in my head. My reality is still comprised of 3 needy boys (husband included), who are completely oblivious to the fact that it’s one of the most important months of my fashion-centric year. To ease my sorrows, I day-dream and stalk the web for the top trends of Fall Fashion 2013….Here are 6 I’ve got my eye on:
1. Animal Instinct
Thank goodness animal prints aren’t out. They’ve been enjoying quite a moment recently and are still in. Very, very in…
Diane von Furstenberg
2. Boxy Lady
Boxy shapes are all over the Fall runways. And when worn with the right proportions, this look is impossibly chic.
Jean Paul Gautier
3. Peek-a-boo
Cut-out shapes and geometric designs are another 2012 trend that will stay super-hot in 2013. Start your crunches Sippers….
Balenciaga
4. Brocade-Made
Rich and textured Parisian-inspired brocades are plastered on blazers, trousers and everything in between.
5. Flower Power
Flowers aren’t just for spring time. This Fall, bust out all your florals and even try layering them together! Just be sure to go for small, cooler textiles to avoid that “Grandma’s closet” look.
Charlotte Ronson
6. Cobalt Attack
It seems like cobalt is the new color of Fall 2013. And I can’t think of a more flattering and vibrant color to take center stage. See ya later Oxblood…
